Conservation Projects
As it is part of our mission, many of our projects focus on the conservation of Greenwich Point. Checkout some more specifics on projects below or on their respective webpages. New projects and continued growth of our current ones are planned for 2025!

Dune Protection
We protect the dunes through adding beach grass, trees, shrubs and fencing. For the last 3 years, we have been using recycled Christmas trees to help the dunes withstand storms and grow over time.

Invasive Plant Removal
We work within the park to remove invasive vines and shrubs that are choking out native plants and shrubs.

Tree Planting
Working with the Town Parks Department, we add native trees and shrubs to the Point: in 2024 we added 19 native shade trees, 8 American Holly, 6 Eastern Cedars, and more than 80 native shrubs such as Arrowwood, Spicebush, Winterberry, Witch Hazel, Bayberry, and Groundsel.

Growing Our Meadow
We continue to grow our meadow area with many new native plants and intensive work through the summer to remove invasive weeds.

Water Fountain
Our water garden area continues to develop, too, providing fresh water and cover for migrating birds and other wildlife.
